nbkc bank seeks an experienced Loan Coordinator Manager for our corporate office in Kansas City.     Leads the bank’s Loan Coordinators directing the commercial and consumer loan processing and closing functions.  Manages loan request flow, reviews loan documentation to ensure adherence to lending regulations, policies, and procedures, provides training, and administers related systems. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs the commercial and consumer loan processing, closing, and review functions.
  • Maintains and develops procedures to support the department objectives.
  • Manages Loan Coordinators directing workflow and assisting with daily operations.
  • Develops and provides training to support Loan Coordinators’ activities.  
  • Identifies, researches and resolves problems to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Participates in the deployment of new lending products and processes.
  • Reviews loans to ensure lending policies and procedures are maintained.  Ensures compliance with lending regulations. 
  • Works under the guidance of the Vice President / Loan Administration to ensure quality and efficiencies within the departments.
  • Collaborates with the Lenders and Credit staff and other departments of the bank to ensure policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, as well as other projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of loan exceptions including setup, notification, and collection of exception documentation.
  • Assists with construction loan draw processing, budgets, and disbursement.
  • Monitors collateral insurance including force placed insurance and flood insurance processing, correspondence, and invoicing.
  • Administers various lending systems and websites.
  • Responsible for the coordination of weekly Executive Loan Committee meetings including scheduling, preparation, distribution, meeting minutes, processing decisions, and meeting follow up.
  • Oversees and assists with the management of responses to ongoing internal and external compliance and audit findings.  Responsible for the determination of root causes of ongoing compliance/audit issues within the department and timely remediation.
  • Facilitates research requests with legal counsel as needed.
  • Coordinates SBA 3rd party loan file reviews.   
  • Responsible for Loan Coordinator personnel management including hiring, conflict resolution, quarterly employee reviews, and annual merit increases.
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Knowledge Requirements:

  • 5+ years commercial and consumer loan administration experience required.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of consumer, commercial, and real estate loan legal requirements.
  • Complete understanding of related lending regulations including CRA, HMDA, TRID, Regulation B, and Flood.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
